Buttonwillow Raceway Park
A premier Southern California road-racing venue, and the home of motoBRP. Here is what makes it a great place to learn and to ride.
Where it is
Buttonwillow Raceway Park sits in California's Central Valley, in Kern County, about two hours north of the Los Angeles area. Our address is 24551 W Lerdo Hwy, Buttonwillow, CA 93206. That central location makes it a regular stop for Southern and Central California track-day organizations and race clubs. Get directions.
The courses
Buttonwillow is best known for two road-racing layouts. The Classic is the long-running, technical course that most riders picture when they think of Buttonwillow. The Circuit is the newer layout, giving organizations a second full course to run. There is also a kart track on the property. Between them, the venue can run several configurations and even reverse directions.
Many ways to run it
One of Buttonwillow's strengths is variety. Organizations pick a configuration to suit the event, which keeps the track fresh and gives you more to learn over time. When you sign up for an event, check which course and direction it is running so you know what to expect.
A track built for learning
Buttonwillow is a flat, technical circuit with a real mix of corner types: fast sweepers, tight technical sections, elevation changes, and a straight long enough to build speed. That variety is exactly what makes it a good teacher. You practice nearly every kind of corner in a single lap, so the skills you build here transfer anywhere. Read more in our guide to riding at Buttonwillow.
Our facilities at the track
motoBRP keeps dedicated facilities right at Buttonwillow. That means bikes and support on site and trackside storage, so your machine can live where you ride it, plus coaching from people who know this circuit corner by corner.
Buttonwillow is also the home of FastLane Racing School, the racing school motoBRP is part of. If you are exploring car instruction or licensing at the same track, that is where to look.
